This is just a short note describing
the attached
article which happens to
be the longest article I have
ever written regarding the market
in Costa Rica. Now depending
on your level of desire to learn
this market in depth will govern
your interest in reading this
thorough hence lengthy article.
Even with casual interest or
a press for time I suggest you
read the front page at least
as it does indeed tell the tale
of how explosive the market
has been here and why it is
now considered the hottest market
on the planet. However one problem
that comes with an explosive
market is the level that some
marketers go to to twist the
perspective buyers ear and the
truth in the process and that
is what inspired me to take
a big chunk of time to write
this article to combat some
of the rather imaginative facts
that are floating around on
the internet. This article does
include many pictures that I
used to prove my points hence
it is not actually as long of
a read as its 29 pages would
indicate at first blush.
On the progress
front we are heavy into the
engineering phase of our project
with many meetings and directions
being handed out to complete
all the engineering requirements
so that we do get what we want
in order to meet our very high
standards some of which is getting
some advisers to learn a few
new tricks as we push forward
with the most energy efficient
project of this nature ever
built in Costa Rica. This area
is being watchdogged by Frank
Czul the best educated engineer
in the country who carries a
PHD from McGill in electrical
and mechanical engineering specializing
in energy conservation. This
has definitely been a learning
process for many on the team
as they are not used to dealing
with crazy Canucks with a seriously
GREEN streak and priority concern
for on going operating costs.
On another front our first round
of permits was submitted to
the Municipality of Garabito
last week so we expect those
to process in the next two weeks
after which we can turn some
earth over.
Until later.
