The
Business Concept
Jacó Beach has seen considerable
growth within the last 3 years.
The population has nearly doubled.
This growth pattern can be attributed
to the Four Star 210 room Marriott
Hotel and Los Suenos development
in the adjacent Herradura Bay
to the north. This development
opened 6 years ago. The Los
Suenos development boasts a
state of the art 200 slip Marina
with its teak topped cement
floating docks, along with an
18-hole championship top 100
rated golf course. It is the
economic engine that has driven
the Central Pacific market for
the past years and set the standards
for all future projects to match
or better such as the new Regency
Resort located just to the north.
It has proven that coastal projects
will appreciate in value rapidly
after construction as some resale
units in the project now sell
for triple the original sale
price only five years ago. Los
Suenos is a well-planned development
and has helped Jacó,
the young beachfront town, become
the most popular destination
on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific
coastline.
Right now Jacó has over
110 restaurants and bars, offering
from the typical Tico plates
to the dining of the finest
culinary accredited chefs. Cuisines
from Seafood dishes or Asian
fusion to spicy Peruvian, you
can find a variety to please
everyone’s palate. The bazaars
are on the rise with a number
of new shopping centers like
Plaza Coral, pharmacies, doctors,
banks and dentists. Over 40
new store fronts last year alone,
with more in the planning along
with four new super markets.
Within the next few years the
highway system will be greatly
improved. The final 45 Kms of
the coastal highway will complete
in the next couple of years
and then stretch from Panama’s
border to Nicaragua. This will
be Costa Rica’s Highway 101.
